New Camcorder - Polaroid DVG-720E
I have bought a second hand (but boxed like new) Polaroid DVG-720E camcorder from Ebay as I intend to start making video content for this site. The camera was cheap and can record in 720p which I think is more than suitable for my site/videos. Also bought a spare battery for it as you can easily swap the batteries on it (a bit like with my Thinkpad X200T) as older tech like this is made much better than newer tech.
I am tempted to set up PeerTube on my site for the videos although this will only likely happen if the videos become popular enough/if I start seeing a noticeable impact on my site's performance as I am initially going to start hosting them by just having them on similar pages to my blog posts. The videos will mostly consist of either IRL fun, me talking about an issue or something interesting I've come across, or to teach you how to do something. I am also tempted to start live streaming on likely YouTube (although I have my problems with that site) as I think it'd be fun. I may also mirror the video uploads onto YouTube as well.
Anyway I'll be back once it arrives with more info about it.
